Kuching, Sarawak, MALAYSIA, Tuesday, 3 February 2009 – SARAWAK FORESTRY in its media release today announced the birth of 2 male baby orangutans at Matang Wildlife Centre near here, today. This rare occasion which saw a double birth on the same day at the rehabilitation centre was witnessed by the Centre’s conservation team at its clinical facility. No medication or drugs were used in the process and both deliveries were smoothly without the assistance from the staff to allow a normal and natural process to take precedence.

Both, yet to be named babies added another feather to SARAWAK FORESTRY’s cap in its rehabilitation efforts at Matang Wildlife Centre, located 35km from Kuching.
