1100 Reef Balls Deployed in Sampadi – Tanjung Datu Waters

Launching of Reef Ball Deployment for Sampadi – Tanjung Datu waters was held on 26 October 2020 by YAB Chief Minister of Sarawak. Also present at the ceremony were YB Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture; YB Datu Haji Len Talif Salleh, Assistant Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment; YB Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu, ADUN N.3 Tanjung Datu and SFC Deputy CEO I Mr. Oswald Braken Tisen.

Since the implementation of Sarawak Reef Ball Project in 2018, 7200 reef balls have been deployed, including 600 reef balls in Belawai – Paloh waters, 600 in Lawas, 1,200 between Igan and Mukah, 1,200 in Muara Tebas – Sebuyau waters, 540 in Mukah – Metedeng waters, 600 in Muara Tebas – Santubong waters, 660 in Northern Pulau Bruit –Igan waters, 700 in Santubong – Sampadi waters and 1,100 in Sampadi – Tanjung Datu waters.
