MIRI, 3 AUGUST 2018 – SARAWAK FORESTRY Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SFCSB) gave notice today that Lambir Hills National Park (LHNP) is temporarily closed to the public with immediate effect due to a flood.

“Incessant rain in the area for the past few days has resulted in flooding of the areas surrounding national park. Apart from that, fallen trees had also damaged the trails and this had rendered the trails impassable,” said a statement.

The national park will be re-opened after clearing and repair works had been completed and deemed safe for the public

SFCSB regrets any inconvenience caused as a result of this temporary closure and would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding in this matter. The public may contact Lambir Hills National Park Office at +6085-471609 for further inquiries and clarifications or follow our website at www.sarawakforestry.com or Facebook’s page @sarawakforestry for more updates.
