VISIT BY MINISTER OF PRIMARY INDUSTRIES MALAYSIA TO SEMENGGOH WILDLIFE CENTRE

Semenggoh Wildlife Centre hosted an official visit by Yang Berhormat Teresa Kok, Minister of Primary Industries recently. 15 delegates from the ministry were in attendance to accompany her for the tour. The Minister was ‘greeted’ by a total of 6 orangutans while on site, and YB Teresa Kok concluded the day by adopting the two orang-utans, namely, Dr Kok and Endu, while one of her delegates had also adopted Sigat.  They also had the privilege to witness the orang-utan feedings as well as listen to briefings by Semenggoh WC staff regarding the operations as well as orangutan conservation in Sarawak and also visited the Orchid Garden in SWC.
